Fairtrade Project
We spent some time investigating the work of Fairtrade around the world, and focused in particular on cocoa production in Ghana. We learnt about the importance of farmers working cooperatively to ensure they sell their produce for a fair price.

To crystalise our ideas, we designed 'good' and 'bad' chocolate bars, using our chocolate bar brand name to convey a good choice or bad product.
To add authenticity to our product we actually made chocolate, using cocoa powder and glue (yes glue), to create a powerful , thought provoking display.
Along with or chocolate bars and wrappers, we wrote poems from the farmers' point of view, and even used our personification skills to describe the journey of the cocoa bean.
