Don't forget to use all your powers of powerful writing for this: strong imagery, powerful, ambitious vocabulary, metaphors and similes... and some passion and performance thrown in as well. Here's one of my efforts to give you the idea:
Have a read of ORs great work today:
Activity 6: The Great Tatooine Bake-Off
Your job, if you have the correct ingredients, is to make a batch of Star Wars themed peppermint creams (or whatever flavour you decide to make them). If you do not have these ingredients, that's no problem - just create a Star Wars themed edible treat:
- HP was on the case early yesterday... hmmmmm...
Due to the huge online traffic today, I have been unable to make peppermints as promised - looks like I will have to wait til the small hours to have a go now. I will post my efforts tomorrow.
Hope you've cleared up your mess - or got a mouse droid to do it...
I've found a simple peppermints recipe here, but you can use egg white instead of condensed milk if you like. We all made these at Xmas, so you know what the consistency should be like - we don't want it sticky. When your dough is ready, shape into your Star Wars themed treat - and decorate with chocolate/sweets , or anything to make your creation come to life.
Ingredients:
Doesn't have to be Carnation,(or egg white)l
Step 3 of 3
Remember, we don't want boring old disc shaped peppermint creams; we want Star Wars themed shapes and creations.
Make sure you take a picture of your confectionary and send it to me for judging... not to Jabba !!!!
Activity 7: Star Wars Artist
Our first skill wil be to learn to draw baby Yoda (although it isn't actaully baby 'yoda' as you'll know if you're lucky enough to have seen the brand new Star Wars series, 'The Mandalorian', on Disney - it's really fantastic).
Stay tuned today, as I'll be adding lots more drawing instructions through the day.
Here's some great simple character drawing lessons-
R2-D2, Chewbacca and Leia - just click on him for the video.
