The new team from KS2 are now in the progress of organising their activities and tasks in order to maintain our Green Flag school status. They delivered a great assembly to inform us of the things we are doing in school to help the environment.

Our Rainforest Project: Operation Ocelot

Summer 2023

We are raising enough money to protect an area of rainforest in Brasil the same area of our school

(about 1 acre)..

The whole school is supporting Operation Ocelot, a campaign organised by The World Land Trust, swapping our uniform for green or an animal theme on a Friday in March.

We were lucky to have representative of the trust, one of our parents, speak to the whole school to explain how important the rainforests are 'the lungs of the planet', and how we can help secure the protection of one acre of forest in Brazil - protecting all the animals and plants (including the ocelot) who make it their habitat.

Thanks to the genorosity of everyone at Wreningham, we are well on the road to raising the £101 required to purchase the rainforest area the size of our school, and next week, the school council will be selling recycled tin cans - re-purposed into pencil holders and bird feeders.
